We are the only union of travel agencies in El Salvador, constituted in 2008, which brings together the authorized agencies for the sale of air transport by the International Transport Association, IATA, for its acronym in English and which meets 90% of ticket sales volume through this channel.
AVA has become the interlocutor of the agencies before the Government institutions, participating in the preparation of studies of the Air Transport Industry, and developing collaborations with entities such as: the Consumer Ombudsman, the Superintendence of Competition, the Research Unit Financial Office of the Attorney General of the Republic, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Tourism, among others.
On the other hand, the Association works actively to maintain well positioned the image of these companies before the consumers, rescuing: their formal existence, the quality of the services they provide, the knowledge of the agents that attend them, their financial solidity, the attachment unrestricted to the entire regulatory legal framework that regulates its operation and its reliability.
Finally, it seeks to provide and provide all its members with tools to face the new challenges of the industry, through constant updating and training activities that allow greater effectiveness in their internal management.
